Loretta Chao. (2009, November 1). IPhone Gets Lukewarm Reception in China . The Wallstreet Journal. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703294004574509181789222564.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
From this article, Chao(2009) reported that the first sale of iPhone in China fell expectation. The first reason is that many customers already bought their iPhone from other countries or unauthorized sellers. Second is that the price of iphone is way too expensive that people would rather buy it in gray market than the authouized stores. Finally, the failure of the sale is that chinese government restricts the wi-fi feature of iphone in order to balance the market of cell phones in China. As a result, Apple has to figures out a way to improve the inconvenience of iPhone in China, or people will choose the gray market instead of official stores to get their iPhones.

Google's Motorola Droid is coming soon. It might solve the problem.
I'm looking forward to the Droid. We have Verizon, so we can use it.
